Chiropractors care for patients with neuromusculoskeletal (nerve, muscle, joint, disc) disorders of especially the spine and pelvis, as well as dealing with sports injuries. We regularly see patients who have back and neck pain; arm and leg pain; headaches caused by neck problems as well as sports injuries to especially knees, ankles, shoulders and elbows.
Spinal/pelvic mechanical breakdowns, which Chiropractors call subluxations, may also interfere with the spinal nervous system and disturb function. The body has self-healing abilities and by correcting subluxations via specific manual corrections called adjustments, the body is encouraged to restore function. Pregnant ladies and babies can have adjustments as a result of postural imbalances / birthing injuries.
Dr. GT graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa, USA in 1972, and has been in private practice since then. Served on the Executive of the World Federation of Chiropractic (Non-governmental Organisation affiliated with the World Health Organisation).

Services
Chiropractors are trained to find the cause of your problem/s, with particular emphasis on your spine and nervous system, although all other joints / soft tissues are looked at.
Being a self-healing organism, your body needs to repair, stabilize and rehabilitate itself.
Spinal subluxations will be adjusted (specific manual corrections) and if necessary, remedial exercises to strengthen and support your recovery will be prescribed.

A comprehensive Case History will be taken, followed by a full spinal MOT to find the possible cause of your problem/s.
Blood tests and or diagnostic imaging (X-rays / scans) may be called for to rule out fractures, dislocations, pathology, scoliosis (curvature of the spine).
Diagnostic imaging, if necessary, is outsourced as we do not have in-house facilities.
Should the spinal MOT reveal any condition outside of the scope of Chiropractic care, Dr. GT will refer you to an appropriate Healthcare provider.

You did not give up trying to find the cause of my problem even after your referral to my GP drew a blank.
You sent me for a private ultrasound scan which showed that I had a first grade cancer of my bladder.
Even though it was not a purely Chiropractic problem, you stuck to your guns and I am still "alive and kicking" after 10 years.
My "frozen shoulder" was indeed a build-up of lactic acids in my shoulder muscles which you found and successfully cleared.
Cortisone injections and medication was not resolving my problem.
