Street Chiropractic Clinic
Chiropractors treat conditions that affect joints, muscles, ligaments and nerves and use a variety of techniques and treatment modalities. The techniques applied are chosen to suit each individual patient, and can include gentler techniques to suit the elderly, very young or more nervous patient. We are registered with the General Chiropractic Council and are members of the British Chiropractic Association and the Royal College of Chiropractors.

Taunton born Dan Sparks graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth in 1993, in one of the first years that the chiropractic qualification was granted degree status. The following year, he was awarded his postgraduate diploma. He spent the next 8 years working in Street, Nailsea & Bristol, then 9 years working in Sheffield, plus a year in between, providing locum services for chiropractic clinics all over the country.
Services
We are situated on the High Street, opposite Acorn Solicitors & Cog + Sprocket bicycle shop, and above Boots Opticians & Golden Cut Hairdressers.
The clinic is on the first floor, up a wide flight of straight stairs, with a handrail.
Please let us know in advance if you have any concerns regarding being able to access the clinic, as assistance is always available, when required.
After recording a few basic personal details, the chiropractor will take a full case history to help them understand the nature of your presenting complaint.
This is an informal chat to help decide if chiropractic treatment might be suitable for your condition.
You will be under no obligation, but if you want to proceed, an initial consultation can then be booked.
The chiropractors at Street Chiropractic Clinic are members of the General Chiropractic Council (GCC).
The GCC is an independent statutory body established by Parliament to regulate all chiropractors in the UK to ensure the safety of patients undergoing chiropractic treatment.
Their function is to protect the health and safety of the public by ensuring high standards of practice in the chiropractic profession.
Plantar Fasciitis is inflammation of the connective tissue (the plantar fascia) that supports the arch of the foot, and causes foot and heel pain.
This pain is often worse in the morning, or after long periods of rest.
Problems with the plantar fascia can affect other joints, such as the ankle, knee or hip, if allowed to linger, or progress.
Causes of plantar fasciitis include poor footwear; tightness of the Achilles tendon; constant stress (on your feet all day) and a change in usual activity.
