Narberth Chiropractic & Sports Injury Clinic
We've been established in Narberth since 1994. During which time we have treated thousands of people from all over Pembrokeshire and South Wales. If you've not been to a chiropractor before you'll probably have a few questions. The following pages try to answer these questions, but if you have any other queries, please just give us a call and ask.

Andrew spent many years in Occupational Health prior to retraining as a Chiropractor in 1988. He has worked as a Clinic Tutor at the University of Glamorgan and is still involved research and teaching in both human and equine fields. In the past Andrew has been a keen rider and surfer, but now spends his leisure time with his (electric) mountain bike and collection of quirky sailing boats.

Laura trained as a Chiropractor at the University of Glamorgan after starting her career in pathology within the NHS. She has a fondness for Narberth, having worked here for over 10 years. Laura also has a strong interest in equine work and is a keen endurance rider.
Services
Chiropractors are best known for treating joint and muscle disorders, particularly back and neck pain.
At our clinic we treat people for a wide range of spinal issues and related problems: e.g. the joints and muscles of the shoulders, arms and legs.
If you're not sure, please just ring and ask.
On your first visit to our clinic you'll have a thorough consultation and examination.
We'll explain to you what seems to be going wrong (diagnosis).
If we think you could benefit from Chiropractic treatment we'll explain what we plan to do and advise you on things you can do to help yourself.
As Chiropractors we want to get your whole body moving at its best, especially your spinal joints and muscles.
Our treatment loosens them up, we show you quick and easy stretches to keep them moving, and your body's own repair mechanisms do the healing.
Very low force "Network" adjustments: These help re-set the natural align-ment of the vertebrae and the balance of the muscles and connective tissues.
Specialised "diversified" manipulation : When joints have been locked for a long time, adhesions form around the joint.
Most new patients attend for between six and eight visits initially, with follow up maintenance or MOT visits.
Your first appointment will take approximately half an hour and includes: taking your medical history relating to your problem, a full assessment and initial treatment.
We are registered with BUPA & PPP/AXA.
Many people get help through other health insurance plans.
It is still difficult to get treatment funded by the NHS.
Rather like Dentistry, although it is theoretically available in principle, it doesn't work that way.
