My name is Tania Miller and I run 2 small, friendly clinics based in Taplow, near Maidenhead, and Bracknell. We use the McTimoney method of Chiropractic which is a gentle, yet effective technique suitable for all from the very young to the elderly. It is also suitable during pregnancy after the first trimester. We combine our Chiropractic skills with acupuncture (if appropriate, it isn't for everyone!) and soft tissue work.
We also help clients to understand, manage and prevent pain, stress and lifestyle as these are often linked. There is more information on this on the treatments section of the site. I am also trained to use the Epley Manoeuvre. This is simple manoeuvre which helps to ease symptoms of BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo), a disorder of the inner ear causing dizziness.
Treatment is not limited to the above conditions but these are some of the most commonly treated. Tania Miller studied at McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Abingdon for 5 years gaining a BSc (Hons) degree in chiropractic in 2008.

I studied at McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Abingdon for 5 years gaining a BSc (Hons) degree in Chiropractic in 2008.
I then went on to train in acupuncture with the British Medical Acupuncture Society.
I find acupuncture a wonderful accompaniment to Chiropractic to ease pain.
Over the years I have also gained various qualifications in soft tissue techniques including massage and myofascial release.
Since 2015 I have also been working as a SIRPA Practitioner to help people to resolve their pain through education and stress management.

Pain, especially chronic or persistent pain, is a complex experience and benefits from a multifaceted approach.
By treating the area that hurts we are not necessarily getting to the root cause.
I am a qualified SIRPA Practitioner (Stress illness Recovery Practitioners Association).
I was trained by Georgie Oldfield who was inspired by the work of Dr John Sarno.
Since meeting Georgie Oldfield in 2015 the way that I work has been changed forever and for the better.
It has also changed my own back pain!

McTimoney is a relatively gentle form of chiropractic using fast light movements to adjust the bones of the body.
Chiropractors believe that aligning the skeleton can help the nervous system to function more efficiently helping to relieve pain and discomfort thereby improving mobility.
The McTimoney method is a whole body treatment which means that we assess the whole body and mobilize and adjust where needed.
Fast, light adjustments are made to the wing of the vertebrae (transverse process) which some patients describe as feeling like 'flicks'.
