Services
Molly joins us from the United States.
Molly grew up on a farm in Michigan.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Saginaw Valley State University in 2012.
She graduated at the top of her class in 2016 from Palmer College of Chiropractic, the fountainhead of chiropractic.
She practiced for two years in Iowa before moving to Coventry with her husband and two cats.
When Molly isn't at work, she is hiking, kayaking, reading, scrapbooking, or sewing.
She is also enjoying all of the travel the area has to offer.
You will be met by your chiropractor and shown to a private consultation room where you will be asked questions about your medical history and discuss the reason for your visit.
A very thorough physical examination is then carried out which will include the spine, relevant joints, muscles, ligaments, and the nervous system.
When a case is deemed suitable for chiropractic treatment, the chiropractor will formulate a treatment plan.
First of all, you may have questions that you forgot to ask on the first visit.
Chiropractic is a healthcare profession with its own distinct principles and practice.
Chiropractic has a primary focus on the musculoskeletal system and the effects on the nervous system.
Chiropractic is now the third largest healthcare profession in the world after Dentistry and Medicine.
Chiropractic decreases pain and improves functionality and biomechanics of the spine.
Chiropractic allows patients to be healthy and well so they can do the things they want to do without having to be in pain or discomfort.
If you think you have hurt yourself in a specific way-like bending forward, please refrain from doing it.
In fact, if it hurts bending forwards try bending a little bit back, in the opposite direction.
Also, try to relax your muscles, especially your stomach muscles when you have low back pain.
Regular exercise helps maintain mobility and strength, but only if it's done without pain!
Walking, swimming and cycling are all excellent exercises.
Whether you are doing sports, gardening or DIY'ing, you need to warm-up your muscles first.
Don't forget that the severity of the pain is usually not an indication of how serious the problem is.
Most patients in extremely acute pain have got simple muscle spasms which although incredibly painful, are usually resolved quickly.
The worst part of an acute condition is that the inflammation makes the joint swell.
Think of it as a sprained ankle and put a packet of frozen peas wrapped in a thin tea-towel on the painful area.
Apply for 10-15 minutes every 1-2 hours - even if initially it feels sore, it will help.
