Services
We specialise in the diagnosis and drug-free management of problems caused by the muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons or nerves.
Chiropractors are well-known for treating back or neck problems, but are also qualified to treat many other conditions in patients of all ages and abilities and if we can't help you then we will refer you to a specialist who can.
Chiropractors are healthcare professionals that must have completed a full time 4-5 year degree at a recognised university.
Both of our Chiropractors trained here in the UK at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic located at the University of Glamorgan.
Our clinic is a welcoming experience for all, we have a large reception area and private treatment rooms all located on the ground floor, we are centrally located and have private parking available.
At your initial visit to our clinic, one of our receptionists will ask you to complete some brief paperwork prior to meeting the Chiropractor.
A talk about your problem with the chiropractor is called a case history, once your case history is complete, your chiropractor will examine you to confirm any early ideas about your problem.
Chiropractors at Cannock Chiropractic use a range of techniques to reduce pain, improve function and increase mobility, including hands-on manipulation of the spine.
As well as manual treatment, chiropractors are able to offer a package of care which includes advice on self-help, therapeutic exercises and lifestyle changes.
Chiropractic treatment involves safe, often gentle, specific spinal manipulation to free joints in the spine or other areas of the body that are not moving properly.
Apart from manipulation, our chiropractors may use a variety of techniques to help with knees, hips, shoulders, backs, necks and some headaches.
There are many different types of neck pain, with different causes.
The key to getting the right treatment is to establish which type of neck pain you may be suffering from.
The majority of people with neck pain are suffering from what is known as 'simple' or 'mechanical' neck pain.
This means that the pain is not related to any serious underlying condition and there are no trapped or compressed nerves.
We do not always know the exact tissues that are involved in simple neck pain.
Muscles, joints and ligaments can all be involved.
Treatment for the problem is always specific to the individual, as often their are a combination of problems relating to shoulder pain.
For the effective treatment of Frozen shoulder or adhesive capsulitis we have all trained in the Niel Asher Technique ( NAT ) which was shown to produce a significant reduction in pain, together with considerable increases in strength and movement when compared to physiotherapy or a placebo.
The evidence very strongly indicated that the technique we use is more effective than any of the conventional alternatives available.
